It amazes me that you can read scripture many times and each time God can give you something different. This morning God showed me something new. Something encouraging for this journey I am on.
2 Cor 5:6-8 "Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord."
My earthly body has been the source of much heartache and frustration. But truly it is, in part, what has kept me chasing after God, relying on Him, and trusting that His plans are greater and bigger than I can imagine. I keep looking to God for strength, love, and encouragement because I feel weak, unloved and discouraged....Truth is this can be anything for any one of us. Health, finances, relationships, disabilities...any struggle here on this imperfect earth should cause us to run to our Heavenly Father who has it all in His powerful and caring hands. I long for the day when I will understand. One day in heaven when I will have the mind of Christ.
